    Close up shot of Union Jack. Various shots of the warship at sea and activities onboard. Men are seen operating guns, signalling, looking through binoculars etc. Destroyer at rough sea, explosions around. Two marines playing trumpets. More shots of the battleship and the crew at sea. Guns being fired. Men on deck operating guns.

    Note: German battle cruiser Scharnhorst was sunk on 26th of December 1943 in the Atlantic. Five ships took part in the action: Belfast, Norfolk, Sheffield, Duke of York and Jamaica. This footage is probably aftermath of the action.

    Amongst the ships seen in this clip are, at 1:29, HMS Matchless, and then at 1:56 HMS Meteor.
