Cuts from newsreel 46/87 - Royal Family attend wedding of Patricia Mountbatten.

Various shots of exterior of Broadlands, Mountbatten home where wedding reception of Lady Patricia Mountbatten (daughter of Lord Louis Mountbatten) and Captain Lord Brabourne of the Grenadier Guards was held.

Shots of crowds lining the streets, cheering and waving flags. Shots of Romsey Abbey. Various shots of guests arriving and walking up to the Abbey - Lady Louis Mountbatten with her younger daughter Pamela, in bridesmaid dress; King George VI in naval uniform with Queen Elizabeth (Queen Mother), Princess Elizabeth (Queen Elizabeth II), Princess Margaret and Prince Philip (Duke of Edinburgh) - the two Princesses in bridesmaids outfits. The Royals get into their car and are driven off (after the ceremony, presumably).

Brief shot of wedding party getting ready to pose for pictures at interior location. The bride and groom pose on the porch of the church. Shots of guests going into and coming out of the Abbey. Shots of bride and groom, the Princesses and others posing for pictures and seemingly having a jolly time - lots of smiles and laughter, though some shots are a bit fuzzy.

Cars arrive at Broadlands, bringing guests for the reception. The four bridesmaids all pose together - think other one is Princess Alexandra of Kent. Crowds of people buy ribbons or flags from a hawker in the street. Tiny child in front row of crowds drinks milk out of bottle. Lord Louis Mountbatten and two women pose in a doorway. Shots of streets decorated with flags and bunting as guests walk by. Crowds watch them.
