    L/Ss of the pleasure steamer the 'Royal Eagle'. The commentator says that the vessel has been handed over the Royal Navy. L/Ss of men on deck passing parcels down line. M/S men in lifeboat being lowered into the sea. Men row away. M/S of people at work in kitchen. Men eat in the galley. Several good shots of the crew smoking and drinking whilst playing cards.

    M/S of anchor being raised. M/S senior official (possibly captain ?) operating controls in the wheel house. Good M/Ss of large cogs of engine turning. M/Ss of paddle moving. M/S of Captain at the wheel. Several more shots of the ship in action including training exercise using anti-aircraft guns on deck. Good M/S and L/S of sailors singing 'What Shall We Do With the Drunken Sailor'. L/S of the 'Royal Eagle'.
