• Short Summary

French Foreign Minister speaks after the Allies meeting in Paris.

  • Description

    Paris, France.

MS. & SCU. French Foreign Minister Robert Schumann seated at desk speaking in French - natural sound. He is giving a statement after the allies meeting in Paris.

Translation of the speech: 'The conference which has just ended has been a great comfort for France and her delegates. We have found out once more our full understanding with our great English and American allies. Above all, concerning Germany we only had to confirm the agreement concluded and signed beforehand. Then we will adapt its application to the situations which will have evolved between time for the interest of all and also in the interest of peace. The French people often wonder if the three powers who met around the same table during this conference, consider to rearm Germany, and include her into the Atlantic Pact. Once more I want to repeat the solemn assertion that France will not enlist herself in this matter, she estimates that the help of Germany, if wanted for the political and economical organisation of Europe, is not needed for Military matters.'
