    L/S of a garden with a house in the background. A girl, Cetra, is putting some pots onto a stall, a man comes out to join her carrying a big sign which he props up in front of the stall. He is her father Richard Hearne who is well known as Mr Pastry. C/U of Cetra putting some more glass jars onto the stall. C/U of Richard hammering in the sign, he is smoking a pipe. The narrator says they are preparing for a fete which they hold every year for charity. Another of his daughters, Sarah, comes to join him, he gives her some instructions and she walks off. The camera pans down to a C/U of the sign which says 'Pingpong balls for Goldfish'.
    L/S of Sarah in another part of the garden she is stood by a flagpole with the Union Jack on it. Richard comes up and helps her. M/S of Richard and Sarah raising the flag. M/S of the flag going up, C/U of Richard's face as he looks at it. M/S of the flag. L/S as he walks out of the big garden gate with a cardboard cut out of himself. He puts it on the garden wall outside. M/S of him adjusting the model, it is holding a 'Welcome to the Garden Party' sign. Richard looks at his watch and runs back into the garden. M/S of his wife Yvonne at another table in the garden. M/S of her putting various items on the table, including a boomerang. He kisses her and goes into the house.

    Interior. M/S of the living room, Richard sits down at a table in front of a mirror. C/U as he dabs make-up on his face with a sponge. M/S of the welcome sign at the front of the house. M/S of Richard with white hair and eyebrows fitting a white moustache. He puts on a pair of spectacles and a bowler hat. M/S as he stands up and puts his jacket on. M/S as he goes outside again as Mr Pastry, there are groups of adults and children, he goes round talking to them. M/S as he tries to throw balls into the bottles on the stall. M/S of the bottles. M/S of one of the stalls. C/U of Richard signing autographs for children. One little boy runs up and blows a hooter at him. M/S of the rain on the lily pond. M/S of a sign 'Bowling for the Pig'. M/S of Richard under an umbrella, a woman comes up and tries bowling at something. M/S of Richard getting soaked with water. Note: This item can be found in Astra 14 P-P Section.

    i was very young, year unknown, we were on holiday in Jersey, and Mr Pastry, must have been filming, there he was in his hat/tails ect. flying through the water, on a pair of water skis waving at every body, i never forgot how much time he had for everybody, when came on shore
