    Nurses rally in Trafalgar Square; crowds of nurses carrying banners protesting against low wages. Steam trains at standstill in sidings during one day rail strike. Underground trains at standstill. Notice reading 'Strike Car Park' then general view of packed car park. Tracking shot of man riding along on chauffeur driven tandem.

    The Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Charles get into a plane; Charles is on way to his new school - Gordonstoun. Exterior of school. Philip and Charles stand outside. L/S of Mosley banners at a rally in Trafalgar Square. Oswald Mosley walks through crowd; he is attacked and thrown down. Free for all breaks out between police, Mosley supporters and crowd. Mosley recovers and walks along surrounded by supporters. Crowd breaks through police cordon and attack supporters and pull down banners.

    Kingston, Jamaica. Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon are greeted by Sir Alexander Bustamante. In Uganda crowds line streets for Independence celebrations. Duke and Duchess of Kent arrive and are greeted by the Kabaka of Buganda then introduced to officials as crowds look on.
