The first exchange of prisoners of war is completed as British soldiers arrive in Egypt.

Commentator says most of them have been in hospital in Naples. Sailors on the dockside applaud the men. They then board a Red Cross train and head for Cairo; nurses wave them goodbye. At Tanta station some girls stand beside the train and hand out food and cigarettes. On arrival in Cairo they are driven by ambulances to a British hospital at Giza. Men are carried into the hospital on stretchers and walk in with crutches.
