Reading speeds of students are increased at a reading clinic in New York.
Titles read: "FIRST "R" - READING MACHINE TEACHES SPEED-UP".
New York, United States of America.
At the a Reading Clinic we see a girl having a contraption placed over her head by New York University's Dr Stella Senter (Senta?). The machine films the eye movements of the girl as she reads. In a classroom at Theodore Roosevelt School we see a young man reading words aloud as they flash up from left to right on a special machine to encourage flowing movements from the eyes.
M/S of Dr Stella standing beside the machine as she speaks to camera, saying they have had students with a reading speed of 150 words a minute increasing to 400 words a minute after 3 months of training there.
