Brian Gates says
The film is of 73 Squadron RAF taken in France in 1940. On the left is Reg Lovett who was shot down during the Battle of Britain on the 7th September 1940. Next Edgar 'Cobber' Kain who was killed on the 7th June 1940 in an accident before leaving France. Next to him Newell Orton who was reported missing in action on the 17th September 1941. Finally on the right Basil Pyne who was shot down on the 14th May 1940. Sadly all four were to lose their lives.
