    This is a short film that was shown before the main feature.

    We see shots of a city "could be any city" says Richard Murdoch, but it looks like Liverpool. Various shots of people at work: a hairdresser, bus conductor, railway station booking clerk, cost clerk at the motor works. Shots of what their lives were three years previously, during World War II. All worked for the Royal Air Force (RAF). Shots of planes, bombing, maintenance of aircraft etc.

    Royal Air Force Association social club. The people featured earlier meet up to talk, play snooker, perform amateur dramatics, cricket, badminton, swimming, football. Map of Britain showing where branches located. Headquarters in London. C/U of filing drawers. Mechanical filing and address system. Magazine "Airmail" being printed and posted. RAFA Branch Welfare Officer meets a member and gives advice on filling in forms. Legal Department helps a client. Pensions Department helps disabled present their claims. Also an Employment Advice Department.
