QUEEN IN SUDAN VISITS EL OBEID AND KHARTOUM

    (offcuts, selected scenes, out-takes, rushes)
Various shots in El Obeid: Huge crowds and enormous lines of camels and native riders waiting for the drive past of the Queen. Queen Elizabeth II and Duke of Edinburgh (Prince Philip) drive past in a Landrover.

They sit under a large tent and are entertained by traditional tribal dancers. Hundreds of camels and horsemen parade past in the dust, brandishing swords. The royal motorcade leaves for Khartoum and a garden party in which the Royal couple meet Sudanese leaders and officials.

Huge crowds, tribal dancers and elaborately decorated camels.
