Cataloguer's Note: The "22" in the title refers to '22 ex-servicemen sentenced by the Allied courts. All had pleaded "not guilty" and asked for a retrial. To back their case they started a hunger strike and were transferred to detention in a Red Cross hospital'. "Date received" on original paperwork reads: 08/07/1949.
