    Various shots of the wounded Italian prisoners leaving the country via British port under the Repatriation Plan. They are seen boarding hospital ship "Newfoundland". The ship "Newfoundland". This is the ship that returns British POW's (prisoners of war) to British authorities. Some of the wounded are carried off the ship on stretchers, men smiling. Troops wave from train that is taking them to London. Various shots of the wounded soldiers being greeted by the nurses at hospital. Nurses and released POW's together at hospital grounds. One of the wounded men, Douglas Parkin, speaks into camera (natural sound). He recalls the action in which he lost his leg. Soldier with kit bag arrives at his house and knocks on the door - he is greeted by his wife.
