    Princess Margaret performs her first solo public engagement at Belfast.

    Several shots of the ship moving into the harbour after the launch.

    M/Ss of Princess Margaret arriving for the launch. She stands on the platform with Earl Granville, Governor of Northern Ireland, Lady Granville and another naval man. A brass band plays. The ship moves down the slipway. The crowd gives three cheers led by the party on the platform. Band plays National Anthem.

    Mute shots of Princess Margaret walking around the shipyard and being given flowers by a young man. Workmen knock out the blocks and pull away supporting props from beneath the ship. More shots of the ship before the launch.
