Princess Henry of Battenberg presents the 1st Newfoundland Regiment with Union Jack and silver shield - 1916.

Shot of Princess H. (old lady in black; carrying muff) walking toward camera; with military officers and another woman; some people seated in BG. CU of Princess walking by; followed by a very familiar old Army officer with a cane. Next; shot of these 2 standing at the front of a group of people on some steps by huge pillars. The General gestures for Princess to step forward. Pan right as she does; and as she takes flag on pole from another man in uniform. The flag blows in front; obscuring the action. She takes the flag from one man and hands it to another; pan to man with flag. Then the princess hands him the silver shield. Shot of 3 soldiers of the Newfoundland Regiment walking away from camera;the middle one holding the flag. They turn around; facing camera; standing with others of the regiment.
