Princess Elizabeth, with her parents watch a display of rope climbing sailors at the Royal Tournament.
Full title reads: "Olympia. Princess Elizabeth - thoroughly enjoys herself at the Royal Tournament."
Sailors climb up ropes hung high in the roof of Olympia's arena. They are demonstrating the skills they would traditionally use to climb rigging. They are up among the massive lights and public address loudspeakers. The sailors hang off the ropes in a synchronised display.
Dark L/S of Prince Albert (Duke of York, later King George VI), Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) and her mother the Duchess of York (later Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother). They are sitting with others in the royal box and are applauding the display.
More shots of the impressive display. The men slowly lower themselves down the ropes to the floor - upside down!
