Guards on parade, 5th Battalion Grenadier Guards. Looks like Horse Guards Parade.

Princess Elizabeth (Queen Elizabeth II) takes salute and a military band plays the National Anthem.

The Princess then inspects the Guards. Shots of the military band playing.

The Princess makes a speech from the podium about being glad to inspect and address the battalion before it is disbanded. She talks of the contribution of the battalion and honours the memory of those who laid down their lives for a great cause. She mentions the Victoria Cross, won by Major Sydney (Sidney?). She talks of those who will be going back to civilian life and those who will chose to stay in the army.

The soldiers give the Princess three cheers, waving their hats in the air, then put their hats back on their heads and march past the podium in columns.
