Prince of Wales speaking at military function.

  • Description

Prince of Wales at rally. Location of events unknown.

Royalty. 'Prince of Wales - Cheered by Workers & Children'. This is the Prince who became King Edward VIII for a short time in 1936; and then abdicated because of his marriage to a divorced American woman. He is about 23 years old in this film; in which he attends and speaks at some function with military officers; officials; and a lot of children present. He's the one who looks like a kid himself. Backs of group of men in uniform including Prince as they stand at a gate; also a guy in a white wig. A group of men in deer stalker hats and robes coming through gates.

Shot looking up at balcony on top of roof; some people can be vaguely seen up there; Prince of Wales is probably speaking. Some soldiers with rifles stand at the right; while some others step to left in a group; talking; the Prince of Wales is the one on the far left; one of the other men salutes him and he returns the salute; then walks off to left; crowd of children in BG behind barrier. Another shot looking up at balcony. The Prince along with guy in medallion; officers and wigged guy walk through garage - very dim. A sign for 'Wood Milne Rubber Wheels' on wall. Prince and others walk toward car.
