The people make their way into St Peter's Basilica. A disabled woman is helped off a truck. Stretchers are unloaded from ambulances.

Pope John is carried towards camera on a kind of sedan chair throne. A man on a stretcher is carried up to Pope John and receives a blessing. The Pope walks over to a man on a stretcher. He pats him on the head and talks to him.
