    Pier after fire - not totally burned up but there is significant damage. Pan on melted metal; twisted girders of bridge or platform; to floor pier. LS same; with a few people walking on beach in FG. Several men walking on the burned pier itself; investigating the damage.

    This clip has the wrong date this clip is in fact filmed in Oct 1959 it shows the Southend Pier Pavllion Shore End wrecked by fire.

    Study of this film has shown it not to be of Southend-on -Sea pier. It is certainly not the 1959 Southend fire.
    Comparison of the film at 00:30 seconds with a view of Yarmouth Britannia Pier fire of April 17th 1914 shows a strong similarity. A postcard can be seen here.
