In the central provinces of Italy we see various shots of opium being harvested from fields of poppies. We are told that the Government is cultivating the drug for use in medicine to avoid having to import it. A man slices a poppy bulb so that the juice runs out.
In Aberdare, Wales, we see sheep being herded through a valley and along streets. People stand outside their houses to watch the sheep go by. Several shots of men shearing the sheep with new, modern, electric cutters. The fleeces are piled up and inspected, then bundled up to be sent to the market. Newly shorn sheep are herded along.
