  • Description

Titles read: "PEEPS THROUGH THE WINDOW OF THE WORLD".

    Various locations of events.

Several shots of a large ingot of iron being taken out of a furnace at an ironworks. Pressure is used to forge the ingot.

In Italy, we see the latest firefighting apparatus being demonstrated. A man gets into a fireproof cylinder that is lowered into a fire on some wagons. Once in the heart of the fire, he can fight it with water or chemicals. Other firemen use hoses on the flames from the outside. The cylinder is lifted out of the fire and the man gets out.

On a Hereford farm we see Mr C H Leake using his home-made astronomical telescope. He invented a water clock mechanism to follow the path of stars across the sky. He also ground and silvered the reflector himself.
