Italian pudding festival, mounted postman and the smallest woman in the world.
Titles read: "PEEPS THROUGH THE WINDOW OF THE WORLD".
Various locations of events.
In Ponti, Italy, we see various shots of villagers preparing a huge pudding for their annual Polentone Festival. Chefs chop ingredients in the square while crowds of people mill about. The polenta mixture is stirred in a huge cauldron and turned out. People are served portions and eat from bowls. A man in white has wine poured into his mouth from a keg.
In Tregaron, Cardiganshire, Wales we see various shots of a postman on horseback riding about the village and delivering letters.
In Columbus, Ohio in United States of America, we see several shots of the "tiniest Eve in the world" - an 18-year-old midget called Margaret Ann Robinson who is only 18 inches tall. She is first seen sitting in a hat box on a cloakroom counter, then stands on the palm of a man. She walks around a table lamp and poses beside a "normal" child of 2 1/2 years who holds a doll - Margaret is the smaller of the two.
Cataloguer's note: Margaret Ann Robinson is presented as something of a freak.
