In the United States of America we see various shots of a 20 ton telescope mirror being made. It is removed from an annealing oven by men pulling on chains. It is to be used at Mount Wilson observatory after 3 years of grinding and polishing.
In Vienna, Austria, orphaned boys at a state modern school read books in a library and work on arts and crafts in classrooms and outdoors. Some boys are making wooden canoes and hang-gliders (?). Others do woodwork and sculpture in workshops. Another works on a large mural. We then see the boys swimming in an indoor pool.
