    French paratroopers advancing in mountainous terrain of the Aures and taking up positions against the Fellaghas guerilla fighters. (3 shots). Machine guns and 75 mm guns in operation as troops advance. (4 shots). French soldiers firing artillery guns. (5 shots). Paratroopers advance on the burning adobes in Douar Zellaton village (in the Arris district) as they capture the village. (6 shots). French troops bring back a wounded suspect on a stretcher. (2 shots). Algerian villagers and/or guerilla fighters are rounded up and marched along the road by the French. (4 shots). The Arab men sit by the road and are called up one by one and appear to have their identity cards returned to them. (3 shots).

    Note: "Date received" on original paperwork reads: 29/11/1954. Additional information on file reads: "Paratroopers in operations in the Aures mountains where the "Fellaghas" outlaws are taking refuge from the net tightening around them were attacked and had several wounded and casualties. The surrounded outlaws are forced out of their hideouts."
