A girl holding a robe around her walks alone across lawn in front of audience. CU profile. The action begins w/ a scene of savages: or cavemen having a battle w/ spears.

    Various other scenes include Greek maidens dancing in short white tunics; procession of medieval monks; a crowd of more middle-ages types chanting; knights on horseback; some more dance and some more processions.

    I believe that this pageant took place in the grounds of Footscray Place, which was destroyed by fire in 1949 and demolished in 1950. See London Borough of Bexley archives.
