    The race seen here is the 1963 24 Hours of Le Mans. It took place over 15 and 16 June 1963.

    The cars identifiable during the clip include:

    Nos 21 and 22 are both Ferrari 250P models.
    No 23 is also a Ferrari 250P, co-driven by John Surtees.
    No 25 is a Ferrari 250GTO.
    No 2 is a Ferrari 330LM Berlinetta.
    No 24 is a Ferrari 250GTO.
    No 53 is a Rene Bonnet Aerodjet LM6, co-driven by Jean-Pierre Beltoise.
    No 26 is a Ferrari 250GTO LMB.
    No 31 is a special MG MGB.
    No 39 is a Lotus Elite Mark 14.
    No 41 is a Rene Bonnet Aerodjet.
    At 01:54 is the Rover-BRM co-driven by Graham Hill.
    No 40 is an Alpine M63.
    No 3 is an AC Cobra.
    No 2 is a Maserati Tipo 151/3.
    No 18 is a Jaguar E-Type Lightweight.
    No 10 is a Ferrari 330 TRI/LM.

    The winning car is seen at 05:09, the Ferrari 250P of Lorenzo Bandini and Ludovico Scarfiotti, (Bandini is the man being interviewed at 05:14).
