    Cuts (rushes, out takes) for stories in Colour Pictorial - CP 501. The original stories are also on Pathe Master tape *PM0289*.

    Cuts for story BOMB DISPOSAL in CP 501. Mostly similar footage to that in the cut story; examining mines at the headquarters; the couple with the small boy putting a penny in the mine donation box. Not seen in the final story is C/U of a sign reading "Portsmouth Command, Bomb and Mine Disposal Team". Several shots of mines exploding; the men in their dugout.

    Cuts for SHEEP SHEARING in CP 501. Mostly similar footage to the cut story. Brief sequence of C/Us of spectators - interesting multiracial audience. Sheep in a crowded pen, being herded out; shorn fleeces being inspected; several shearing shots.

    Cuts for THE CARABOOT in CP 501. Similar footage to the cut story; mostly of the women preparing the tea; the men fishing / angling and rowing the boat. Several shots of the vehicle driving along through the countryside. Longer sequence of slow-moving traffic.

    In the section about sheep shearing, the gentleman in blue holding the microphone for Godfrey Bowen the shearer is my father, Phil Anderson. I have an extensive file of press and publicity stills taken during the period 1958 to 1965 of the touring demonstrations of the "Bowen Technique". I am unsure of the protocols of posting contact details here, but anybody interested in them can post a reply to this comment. Glen Anderson.
