    Cuts (rushes, out takes) for stories in Colour Pictorial - CP 374. The original stories are on Pathe Master tape *PM0179*.

    01:46:21 - 01:50:57 (c 414 feet).
    Cuts for story BROWNSEA ISLAND in CP 374. This contains quite a lot of new material of the boat approaching the island and passing a building with two towers. There is a good M/S of the quayside cottages, Beatrice Capel emerges and starts cleaning her windows, there are several shots of this including one from inside the cottage. We also see the Branksea Castle Clock-Tower in L/S and M/S. There is quite a lot of new footage of the castle and its grounds. Tony Capel is seen feeding peacocks and there are several shots of them eating. There are general picturesque shots of the castle and the island.

    Cuts for story CAVIAR FISHERMEN in CP 374. Much of this footage is similar to what is seen in the finished version with shots of the fishing and boats on the river. There is some new footage of the Bucharest airport sign and control tower. Graphic footage of the sturgeon being gutted.

    Cuts for story SKIING IN SCOTLAND in CP 374. This material is similar to what is seen in the finished version. There are scenic shots of the Scottish highlands, and the game of Curling being played. There are a few new shots of skiers walking up the hill and past the camera. There is a C/U profile of a girl's face as she travels up on the lift, people tentatively ski down the hill. There is some new material of the ski lift including a shot from the point of view of the people on it. There is a shot of a man wearing skis doing a handstand and walking about. Several shots of people skiing, one falls over.
