• Short Summary

Bass singer Malcolm McEachern sings 'In Cellar Cool' in an extremely low key!

  • Description

Full titles read: "Our basest bass! A little musical merriment. Featuring Malcolm McEachern - Known to so many as 'Jetsam'."

    London (probably Pathe Studio).

Malcolm McEachern introduces his song, 'In Cellar Cool', as one sung by every bass in the world. A man enters to play the piano, Malcolm stands beside it and sings the song in the original key. Then he takes the song lower and sings again - it is amazing low! As he hits the last note, we see the pianist play the same note - it seems to be about 5 notes from the bottom of the piano!

    (Followed by Pathetone end titles.)

Note: Malcolm McEachern was part of a comedy team, Flotsam and Jetsam, along with BC Hilliam.
