Orchids are cross-pollinated and grown at David Sanders' Orchid Groves.
St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Various shots of orchids in a greenhouse. Leading orchid authority David Sander takes samples from some of the blooms for cross-pollination, puts a label on one of the orchid plants and makes some notes. Several shots of a woman going through the hybridisation process, putting seeds into tubes and onto some jelly substance over a bowl of steaming water.
Another woman takes some young seedlings out of a jar and plants them in a small pot of soil. An old man shows a younger man some young orchid plants in a greenhouse. Several beautiful shots of different types of orchids follow.
Note: according to paperwork on file, the filming took place at David Sanders' Orchid Groves.
