    Open air meeting - part 1.

    (No real info as to exactly what this is about. -- Pathe says could be dock strike) After World War One; there were economic problems and various strikes in Britain as well as other unrest; such as Ireland's struggle for independence. ) Opens with CU US man speaking; waving his arms; bringing down his fist; etc. during the course of his speech.

    Shot of crowd of workers listening to this impassioned oratory -- group of young workers-- all wearing cloth caps; all facing left. Next; shot of 3 men loading table out of back of flatbed truck. Then quick series shots of soldiers; back to table-moving; and US group of teenage boys in a window; wearing uniforms with berets. Scenes of soldiers in street.

    Pan CU on British soldiers; most wearing helmets; long coats; some of them armed with rifles. Soldiers drilling; marching around with closed iron gate in background.

    Demonstrations military.

    Cataloguer's note: No paperwork to suggest what this actually is, but an old record suggest that it could be a dock dispute in Dublin, Republic of Ireland.
