  • Short Summary

A look back to 1903 as Wilbur Wright makes one of his first flights.

  • Description

Item title reads: "The Pathe Gazette now takes you back to 1903 to see one of Wilbur Wright's First Flights - to enable you to realise aviation's giant progress in 24 years."

    North Carolina,

Wright Brothers sequence (good quality) as the propellers are primed and then hand turned to whizz into action. The brothers get into their seats and the aircraft is seen from behind as a large weight in a tower structure is released, and as it drops the plane moves forward and away. It makes a lovely slow dragonfly like sweep low over the field, and over the camera.

Note: Beautiful sequence showing one of the first motorised flights.
