• Short Summary

We travel along the Labrador coast with Explorer Captain Bob Bartlett and his crew on board the 'Morrissey'.

  • Description

Titles read: "On the fringe of the Pole - In the staunch little "Morrissey" we journey with bluff old Capt. Bob Bartlett to the far North."

    Labrador, Canada.

A map shows Captain Bob Bartlett's course from Labrador, through the Hudson Strait and towards Foxe Basin.

On the Captain's boat we see the crew hoisting the sails as they move out of Conception Bay. Pipits and other small birds settle on the boat, looking for shelter. The boat runs into a squall and rolls alarmingly.

Below deck, two of the crew have some food and coffee. Back on deck the boat is still rolling quite a lot. A school of porpoise swim alongside the boat. Walrus are seen swimming a short distance from the boat. Commentator (Captain Bartlett) says the sight of the walrus is a sign of nearing "the happy hunting ground of the Arctic'.

Intertitle reads: "Look out for another instalment coming shortly."
