We see director Herbert Wilcox walking his actress wife Anna Neagle through a scene. Anna is wearing Victorian period costume. M/S of Anna on stage, a clapper boy steps in front of her and the camera start to roll. Anna sings Vaudeville-type song, titled "Oh Listen to the Band". Several shots of cameras, lights and a continuity girl at work, all very brief. A military band march about stage. Extras in period costumes watch from theatre boxes.
