Australian swimmers show what Olympic form can be expected.
Australian 220 yards freestyle championship at North Sydney Olympic Poll gives a foretaste of the oncoming Olympic Games. GV. Australian swimmers just diving into water and swim along the left, past camera. GV. Swimmers racing along first lap. SV. Swimmers coming up to end of pool with Gary Chapman having slight lead. Swimmers turn, swim back and swim away up pool. SV. Swimmers, Chapman slightly ahead. They turn around again and come back past camera with Chapman with fair lead. GV. Swimmers, Chapman out in front. SCU. Chapman well in front coming up to turn for last lap. He turns and is followed by other swimmers into last lap. SCU. John Henricks putting in wonderful burst to try and catch Chapman who is slightly out of picture. Camera panning bringing them both into picture, and Henricks almost level now with Chapman. SV. Now Henricks and Chapman fighting it out. They swim on and appear to both touch the end of the pool together. Chapman touched first according to dope. SCU. Chapman and Henricks hugging each other in water.
