    Various shots of army officers and dignitaries standing around before the ceremony to open the Olympic centres at Uxbridge and West Drayton. Speaker introduces the Under Secretary for Air, Geoffrey De Freitas. Close up of Mr De Freitas speaking, and apologising first of all for the Secretary of Air being unable to attend. He says that he thinks it right that the RAF should house international Olympic competitors, due to their experience of living and working with men from overseas. Pictures abruptly end as an aeroplane is heard overhead.
