The equestrianism seen here is the Men's 3-day Event, Individual. It began on 10 August 1948, and ended on the 13th.
"Long shot of Swiss rider" - that's Alfred Blaser.
"Commandant Emanuelle" should read Rene Emanuelli.
The Men's Light-heavyweight Weightlifting seen here took place on 11 August 1948.
It's well worth noting that weightlifter Harold Sakata seen in this clip famously went on to portray "Oddjob" in the James Bond film, Goldfinger.
"Korea's Lee" - that's Lee Yeong-Hwan.
