Good stuff of a woman's fire department, woman aviator and the noblest of all - a mother.
"Here's a women's volunteer fire department, making a clean-up. -- Washington D.C." M/S of a group of women - all wearing white - cleaning a fire engine. M/S of them at work, one of them wears a cowboy hat, the others wear berets. They all climb onto the fire engine. The engine moves off. The fire engine passes the camera. The girls climb down and begin pulling the fire hose out of the engine. C/U of the girls attaching the hose to a fire hydrant. L/S of a truck which is on fire. "We could "wisecrack" about women and their hose but that would be a washout." M/S of the girls running towards the camera with the fire hose. The hose is used to put out the fire.
C/U of a woman aviator. She is fixing something with pliers. M/S of her climbing up to the cockpit of a plane. M/S of her putting on her goggles. M/S of the plane - propeller whirring. Air to air shot of the plane flying. Words painted on the side of the plane could read "Rankin (or Pankin) School of Flying." Intertitle then reads: "But after all is said and done, woman's noblest job of all is --" M/S of a large family - presumably one woman's children. "And bringing up 13 kids isn't only a job -- it's an executive position!" M/S of a car full of children, mother sits at the back. They all smile at the camera.
Note: intertitles have the word "Curiosities" at the top and "The Movie Side-show" at the bottom. This is one of the"Walter Futter's Curiosities" in the Eve Pic collection - American films which it appears Pathe bought then retitled for use in the U.K.
