    M/S of a man being fitted into an iron lung by a doctor and a nurse. M/S as Lord Nuffield comes into the frame and straightens the man's legs. M/S as he watches the man being pushed into the lung. M/S as the pump starts to simulate breathing, it is being used to cure infantile paralysis. Various shots of the machine at work. C/U of Lord Nuffield saying he hopes his gift will be a means of saving many valuable lives.
