Royals attend Thanksgiving Service for restoration of St. Paul's Cathedral in London.

  • Description

Full title reads: "'Now thank we all our God. The King & Queen attend Thanksgiving Service for restoration of St. Paul's Cathedral."

    St. Pauls Cathedral, London.

A horse drawn carriage brings King George V and Queen Mary to St. Paul's. Crowds watch from the roadside. Boy Scouts line the steps of the Cathedral. The Royals climb out of the carriage and are greeted by civic dignitaries. We can see the Prince Edward, Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII, Duke of Windsor) and Prince Albert, Duke of York (later King George VI) are with them. The Royals walk up the steps past the camera.

After the Service we see the Royal group leave in their carriage.

The Boy Scouts line the steps but the uniformed lads forming a guard of honour on the roadway are members of the LDCLB - the London Diocesan Church Lads Brigade
