    M/S of a young woman in bed in the dark, she opens her eyes and presses a button which switches on the lights, there is pink satin draped over the back of the bed, she reaches over to the bedside table where there is an alarm clock which is combined with a light. M/S of a gold carriage clock on a table, a hand turns it round to show that it has two faces, this is designed for twin beds. M/S of another type of clock made up of horizontal slats, it has lines instead of numbers. This is the International Watch and Jewellery Fair. M/S of a round clock with water in the middle there is a small model duck in it, a hand comes in and moves the duck around. C/U as the duck moves back to the right time. The narrator explains it is controlled by a magnetic device and the beak is the hour hand. M/S of model Patricia Goldsworthy using a lighter to light a cigarette in a holder, C/U of her face as she takes it out of her mouth, M/S as she puts the lighter on the table. C/U of the ornate gold lighter worth £1200. C/U of her face again, C/U of a large diamond brooch pinned to her dress. C/U of a very ornate silver and diamond watch on her wrist. M/S as she picks up another lighter, pulls it out of the plain silver case and puts it in a red one with a jewelled pattern on the front. M/S of the two cases next to each other.

    L/S of a glamorous young woman sat reading, she looks at her watch. C/U of the watch which is very ornate and attached to a twisted gold bangle. M/S of a hand picking up a small 'Pools' watch which helps you select your numbers. The hand turns it over and spins the outside, then picks up a pen. M/S of a clock designed to look like a fishing reel. M/S from a low angle of a wood reproduction of the first Swiss clock, C/U of the cogs going round at the back. M/S of the Patek Phillipe light clock which works by a photoelectric cell, it has various patterns on the front, C/U of the cell on the top. M/S of two modern clear gold clocks. L/S of the Albert Memorial, M/S of model Jill Leslie stood by it showing us a handbag with a large clock face in the front.
