    L/S's of large crowds of people surrounding the new lifeboat singing songs. L/S of Lord Mayor of Nottingham Walter Wesson dressed in long robes giving speech. He christens the boat by declaring that, "I name this beautiful ship the 'City of Nottingham'." He pulls a cord which smashes bottle against the side of the boat.

    L/S of the numerous people dragging the boat down ramp towards the water. L/S of the boat launched into the water, people applaud as the boat takes to the water.
