• Short Summary

Norman Long sings 'Under the Bazunka Tree.

  • Description

Norman Long sings 'Under the Bazunka Tree'.

    No titles.

    London (probably Pathe Studios).

Comedian Ronald Frankau introduces the next act, getting the name wrong twice (Saxon Short, Gothic Small) and finally saying Norman Long.

M/S of Norman Long, introducing "a ridiculous song of the South Seas" called 'Under the Bazunka Tree'. After playing the introduction on the grand piano he stops to tell us a story about a man who stopped at a pub after closing time and knocked on the door. It was opened by "a terrible female apparition". The man asked if this was 'The George and Dragon'; the woman said yes. He said "Well, where's George?".

Norman then goes into his song; a sort of nonsense song about living on a South Sea island.
