Ministry of Information trailer reminding people to take care when dealing with fire.
Various shots workers clocking off at end of shift in an aircraft factories. We hear two men having a conversation, one man has just come out of hospital and is catching up with the factory gossip.
As they walk out of the factory, one man points in surprise at a burnt out section of the factory, the other man tells him what happened. As he tells his story we see various shots showing the sequence of events: fire fighters and ARP wardens picking through charred remains of building, idle factory machines, manager looking at low production figures, people on the telephone and general shots of chaos caused by the fire.
The men walk out of factory gates, they have their identity cards checked by guard. We hear to men speculating whether the fire was sabotage, one man throws cigarette butt onto ground. Smouldering cigarette sets light to scrap paper.
End title reads: "A thousand fires a day are helping Hitler - you cannot be too careful".
