Nicky's Newspaper, written by children, gets a scoop from American Secretary for War Harry H Woodring - 'Woodring Hates War'.
Titles read: "NICKY'S NEWSPAPER".
Washington, United States of America.
M/S of a small group of children sitting around a table, printing out new sheets, typing (with one finger) on a typewriter, sorting papers and so on. Commentator says this is the editorial staff of 'Nicky's News' - the newspaper of Nicky Arundel (I think he's the one at the typewriter).
C/Us of each child as they introduce themselves: Bruce (?) Savoy (news editor), Denise Savoy (society editor), Gary Wilkinson (sports writer), Jocelyn Arundel (woman's editor) and Patrick Parnaud (? very hard to make out the name - managing editor). The children file into an office to speak to the Secretary for War - Harry H Woodring. Nicky asks him "Mr Secretary, do you think when we grow up we'll have to go to war?". Woodring replies "No Nicky, this country is determined to stay at peace."
Back in the office the staff are busy getting the newspaper ready; C/U of the front page in Nicky's typewriter reading 'Woodring Hates War'.
Note: interesting piece of American antiwar propaganda.
