    Dunsfold. - GV of the Hawker P1127 (a proto-type for the Hawker Siddeley Harrier Jump Jet) on the airfield. CU side of aircraft camera pans along to show platform, pilot Bill Bedford is climbing on the platform and reaches cockpit to get in. SV front of craft showing pilot getting into aircraft two other engineers are present. CU pilot in cockpit he winds the perspex hood shut and adjusts his mask. LV of aircraft just leaving the ground in a vertical take off. CU people watching. LV craft is airborne and begins to go forward comes into CU as it gathers speed. LV aircraft it has now reached speed and flies out of picture. CU man looking. LV of aircraft about to land. CU aircraft now landing vertical position.

CU inside the Rapide as two men are about to jump one jumps. Air to air man dropping away from the Rapide. Air to air the Rapide as man jumps camera pans down with him. GV two chutes coming down, GV Peter Denley coming down to the ground he lands. GV Gene Ackley coming down he lands. CU Ackley removing his helmet. Air to air the Rapide with man perched on the wing and he jumps camera pans down with air. Air to air the Rapide as another jumps Angle shot as Terence Jickells comes down he lands on the target 8 feet two inches from the centre. Angle shot Sherdy Vansdall coming down he lands on the target three feet two inches from the centre. LV Mike Reilly coming down he is the overall winner from the aggregate of three jumps he lands.     The location is Dunsfold, not Dunsford.

    Seen here is XP831, the first prototype for the Hawker Siddeley Harrier jump-jet.

    The pilot is Bill Bedford.
