The Duke turns and shakes hand with Walter Nash, the Prime Minister of New Zealand. Various shots of guests arriving. The Duke talks to members of the South African cricket team. M/S as he points at each member of the team. M/S as the Duke shares a joke with members of the team.

    Intertitle - 'Bucks'. L/S exterior of Aneurin Bevan's Asheridge farmhouse in Chesham. M/S as the car driving Indian Prime Minister Mr Nehru and his sister Mrs Pandit arrives at the farm. M/S crowd looking on. L/S as Mr Nehru embraces Bevan's wife Jennie Lee then walks to greet Nye Bevan who is standing in the doorway. Jennie Lee kisses Mrs Pandit and then walks with her to the doorway where she is greeted by Bevan. M/S pressmen waiting around. L/S Mr Nehru and Mrs Pandit walking from the farmhouse after the visit Jennie Lee is standing in the doorway. They wave the two goodbye. L/S Nye Bevan and Jennie Lee standing in the doorway as Mr Nehru's car drives towards camera. C/U Nehru in the car as it drives past the camera.

M/S one of the demonstrators waving a sheet of paper around. M/S gendarme collecting paper from the demonstrators. M/S of one of the demonstrators, a young man, being pulled off by a gendarme, pan to a woman being pulled off. M/S two gendarmes carrying a bearded demonstrator prostrate, with his arms spread out. Various shots as the protesters are dragged off by the police and put into a black Maria. M/S as it drives off with prisoners waving to the demonstrators still seated in the road.
