Their Majesties at the Royal Tournament - King George VI (formerly Prince Albert, Duke of York), Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother), Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) and Princess Margaret. We see the Royal Family and entourage walking up red carpet at entrance to Olympia. Various shots of military show, including soldiers in period costume. We see the family watching.

    Intertitle reads: "St James' Palace". London. His Majesty holds a Levee. Various shots of procession of Royal carriages and horse guards going down crowd lined Mall from Buckingham Palace. Various shots of dignitaries at St James' - they wear ceremonial robes, some look like judges or high ranking officers. Amongst them is Admiral Sir Edward Evans.

    Intertitle reads: "Crewe". Cheshire. The Coronation Scot streamlined engine. Various shots of new LMS (London Midland and Scottish railway company) steam train moving slowly out of engine house, a crowd of railway workers cheers. The train is designed to travel between London and Glasgow in 6 1/2 hours, pulling luxury air conditioned carriages. According to narrator train's creator was a Mr Stanyer (sp.?) - he maybe the man we see in driver's cabin.

    Flanagan and Allen do a little cooking in Oxford Circus, London. Various shots of Coronation decorations in Oxford Street. We see comedians Bud Flanagan and Chesney Allen (of The Crazy Gang) climbing a ladder to get to decorations. They fool about, holding a frying pan over a flaming torch (part of the decorations). Crowds laugh at their slapstick antics. NB section about Cabinet Changes is missing. AH 2001.
