    News in a Nutshell.

    Intertitle - 'Hebburn' (Tyne and Wear) - M/S as a boat arrives at the dock with dignitaries onboard, brief M/S of Prince Albert, Duke of York (later King George VI) and the Duchess of York (later Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother) on the boat. M/S as dock workers wave. M/S as the royal couple get off the boat. M/S of new coal staith which picks up coal from railway wagons and puts them in holds of ships. L/S of Duchess on platform setting it in motion. Various shots of the staith. L/S as the Duke and Duchess walk along followed by dignitaries. M/S as she pulls the curtain revealing a plaque, C/U of plaque saying she opened the staith. L/S of people waving as they pass.

    Intertitle - 'Berlin' (Germany) - M/S as pilot Colonel Charles Lindbergh walks along an airfield in Berlin. C/U as he passes the camera. M/S as he walks up the steps of one of the new all metal aeroplanes. M/S of him in cockpit, M/S as it taxis and takes off.

    Intertitle - 'Wimbledon' (London) - M/S of tennis player Fred Perry shaking hands with Australian Jack Crawford after Perry has just beaten him in the Davis Cup. M/S scoreboard, C/U of Perry, the two walk away together. M/S pan across the players lined up, M/S of Princess Helena Victoria shaking hands with them all. M/S as the team captain Roper Barrett is presented with the huge Cup. M/S of him holding it up.

    Intertitle - 'Morecambe' (Lancashire) - M/S of new swimming pool, Sir Josiah Stamp presses the button to start the water flowing. M/S of fountain in the middle. Young ladies and children parade around the pool in their swimming costumes, M/S of them lined up on the side. Various shots as people dive from the high board. M/S of ladies in old fashioned bathing costumes parading by the pool.

    Note: the item 'Territorial Manoeuvres Somewhere in England' is missing from this edition.
